Below you can listen to the first song of the new album, called ‘Up and Over’.

This week, graphic designer Pepijn Koning made a time-lapse video of a basketball game, the song he used in this video is an edit of a song from the second album. You can watch it below. The full edit of this song will be released on SoundCloud in about two weeks, some more album info will be released simultaneously here on this website.

One cover worked out alright though. The idea for this cover came from a basketball match of the GasTerra Flames, where the DJ played this song. The original song is Parada de Tettas by the Vengaboys. Of course the song is free to download at Soundcloud.

Make 2011 your year!

…And the forest began to sing: A great intro, it’s dark, it’s mystique, it’s scary at night. Everything you could want from an intro. The only thing is… It’s way to short. Just when you get caught up in the song and get excited it breaks down, such a shame. Anyway, the song is a very nice way to start the album.

Tricky Two: The successor of  Tricky Tricky which featured on “Junior”. I really liked  Tricky Tricky and Tricky Two is no different. When you first listen to it  Tricky Tricky and Tricky Two sound very much alike, but there’s just so much more to Tricky Two. I can’t describe it with words, you’ll have to listen to it. The only thing I will point out is a very Jean Michel Jarre like synth almost at the end of the song. Have a good listen to this one.

The Alcoholic: My personal favourite of the album, a very original synth, a tense build- up and one of the craziest deep bass I have ever heard. The title really suits this gem. The guitar in the song is weird and original, It sound synthesized, but it isn’t. The song ends with some noise and birds tweeting, which I like.

Senior Living: My personal favourite is followed by a song I pretty much dislike. I’m not going to say a lot about this one, since I just do not like it.

The Drug: Just such a great song, it relaxes you until the end with some killer repetitiveness. When the drum kicked in I lost it. It just fits so perfectly together.  This song is not just a drug… It’s “The” Drug.

Forsaken Cowboy: Another song in which the title describes the song brilliantly. The guitar makes you feel like you are watching an old western film. Heck, it’s makes you feel like you are in the movie! A great song which will sooth you every time you  listen to it.

The Fear: Such an epic song, I didn’t like it at first. But damn, it is so good. It definitely is not a song you want to hear when you are alone in an abandoned hospital, hence the title. So much goes on in this song. I am going to play this one over and over when winter comes.

Coming Home: You know what this song misses? Not a single thing. Sleeping pills? Why not just a daily doses of “Coming Home”? I seriously recommend to put this on when you’re trying to get to sleep. You will sleep like never before and wake up reborn.

A Long, Long Way: A pretty song, it isn’t a song that you’ll listen to when you feel like partying, but when you feel tired it is a pretty good song to hear. With it comes a pretty ugly hidden track (I believe), which isn’t really worth talking about.

To make a long story short: Go buy this album! It is a great album. Bear in mind that this album is a real grower, you’ll need to give it a chance. But when everything connects, you’ll find yourself enjoying this very much!
